I work with sculpture and installation through a material-based practice. My work explores relationships of interdependence through encounters between human and more-than-human bodies and materials. I see making as a dialogue, where body, material, and time shape and transform one another. I am interested in how meaning emerges through these encounters, and in how they reveal our entanglement with the more-than-human world.
I work primarily with textile materials and techniques, combining them with wood, metal, plaster, and stone. Through these material encounters, I explore how their physical qualities respond to and reshape one another, while questioning the cultural meanings and hierarchies historically attached to them.
