Tove Starfelt works primarily with textile materials and techniques, often in combination with contrasting materials such as wood, metal and stone. Her practice is rooted in encounters and interactions between human and more-than-human bodies and materials. She often draws inspiration from the physical intimacy between herself and the materials she works with, which are part of the surrounding world. This poses questions of how touch shapes relationships between humans and their environment; how both are formed through their interplay. She seeks to lift and investigate what this connection entails.
